No, thank you

9 December 2014

Activities related to the implementation of the programme ,,No, thank you” have recently ended  in the Primary School in Szczeglino. The programme was financed by the Community Programme for the  Prevention of Alcohol Problems. The programme was designed to make pupils aware of the risks associated with the use of alcohol and other drugs. Theatrical and editorial workshops were conducted and the meeting with Santa Claus marked the summary of the programme. Among the guests there were: representatives of local authorities, parents of our pupils as well as the children from “Fairy Tale” kindergarten. Our special guest was a 3-year-old Grześ, who is awaiting a serious and expensive surgery, so the school joined the charity campaign collecting bottle caps. During the meeting our pupils presented papers prepared during the workshops to promote a lifestyle without drugs. The awards for the best papers went to: Martyn Mrowiec, Marta Gawrońska, Kamil Wojnas and Oliwia Gryglicka. The participants of the theatrical workshop presented the following prophylactic scenes: “Contra alcohol” and “Contra cigarettes”. Santa Claus  gave the children Christmas presents, and at the end of  the meeting Joanna Kretkowska of the “Ognisko Muzyczne” invited all the children and their parents to join the movement games with music.
Thanks to such actions, students know how to attractively spend time, learn how to play games, know the risks coming from the use of stimulants and learn assertive behaviour – in situations requiring a proper stance they can definitely say, “No, thank you.”
