Sober Father, sober mother means happy children

26 May 2014

Such catchword was written on one of our pupils’ posters made during the workshops in our School in Szczeglino connected with the project: „ Alcohol – an enemy or a good friend” – financed by Community Programme for Prevention and Alcohol-Related Problems.
The aim of the programme was to make our students aware of different dangers resulting from alcohol drinking as well as the use of other stimulants. The project included prevention and vocal workshops. Additionally, the School organised an open day.
The final stage of the project coincided with Mother’s Day, which has been celebrated in our School for many years, and so we were happy to invite our honourary guests – pupils’ parents.
During the meeting the pupils presented their posters promoting a lifestyle without stimulants such as alcohol, drugs and cigarretes. Next, the guests were invited to vote for the best poster. The pupils sang songs relating to a healthy lifestyle. The youngest pupils recited poems for their Mothers and Fathers and then Ms Joanna Hryniewicz from „Ognisko Muzyczne” invited parents and the children to participate in some enjoyable activities which made everybody happy. In the end, everybody was convinced, that using stimulants is not needed in order to have fun.
